On Tuesday, April 3rd, we will have a chance to elect pro-immigrant, pro-worker candidates across Wisconsin. We wanted to let you know who Voces de la Frontera Action is supporting!
Re-elect Milwaukee County Supervisor Peggy West (District 12)
Supervisor West is a champion for immigrant families and working people on the County Board. Billionaire Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele has spent almost $500,000 to support West’s opponent and other County Board candidates in order to advance an agenda of cuts, privatization, and union-busting. Supervisor West was a leader in the fight against Sheriff Clarke’s campaign of terror against immigrant families, and she stood up against Chris Abele when she fought for living wages in Milwaukee County and against the takeover and privatization of Milwaukee Public Schools. Stand up to big money, re-elect Peggy West!
Vote Steven Shea for Milwaukee County Supervisor, District 8! Steve is a teacher, a union member, and a fighter for working people. Chris Abele has spent almost $150,000 supporting his opponent in a transparent effort to buy this Steve will be a champion for working people on the County Board, and he will fight to fully fund our parks and resist the cuts and privatization that would undermine our quality of life. Vote Shea for County Supervisor District 8!
Vote Judge Rebecca Dallet for Wisconsin Supreme Court!
Judge Dallet understands how the law impacts working families. She will stand up to corporate interests, and be an impartial, ethical check on Scott Walker’s abuses of power in the courts.
State Constitutional Referendum: Vote No– Don’t Eliminate the State Treasurer
Vote No on the referendum! The office of the State Treasurer is an important safeguard against abuse of power. Eliminating the Treasurer’s office would allow Scott Walker to spend public money with no transparency or accountability. Vote no on the referendum!
